Quick Poll

Good Morning Ladies,I have created a Yahoo Group to try to continue on this group and so far four members have joined (thank you ladies). What I would like to know is this: would you prefer to have a Ning Network website such as this one or move over to Yahoo Groups. At this time I am unable to get the current content of this website to move over to the next, and this one is (for all the info I can gather) unsavable and will end shortly.I am willing to pay the first year fee to have a new Ning…See More

Thank you :-) My little miss has it hanging in her room and won't let me put it anywhere else.

I think everyone is probably busy today especially being a Sunday and Father's Day. I have been out all day and only managed to just get home. I hope we can somehow grab the content from this site and move it over, or continue on here if…

Looking a bit that way. There are other people on the blogs here, but I'm not sure they're reading our conversation.

Okay, I have created a YahooGroup called Sydney Modern Quilt Guild and you can find it at http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/SydneyModernQuiltGuild/ just in case we need it. I might have a work around to keep this group open. I will talk to Sophie and…

It depends on the size of the group. Blogger allows a maximum of 100 authors on a blog, while yahoogroups allows unlimited membership of groups. If it's likely we'd have 100+ members in fairly short order (keeping in mind how few…

Actually I have just looked up the Portland Modern Quilt Guild and they have moved from the Ning network to their very own blog run I think, on blogger. That might be an idea as well. Maybe it might be an idea to set up the Yahoo Group and then if…

I'd definitely join a Yahoogroup though I don't see myself being hugely active in terms of making things - ATASDA takes up most of my time. I'm not sure I'd make it to any face to face groups, though Lindfield is a better option…

Yes, I would be interested in this. I know this is too much for Sophie to do so I will think about stepping up and taking this over to a yahoo group. I will look into it a bit more and get back to everyone.

Yahoogroup?

Funny you should mention that, Munaiba! I was thinking the same thing, especially since, as a list moderator, I just received an update on the new Yahoogroups, coming soon, It looks pretty much like this does - way more blog-like - with all the usual features still built in.

But I'm not sure if anyone else is actually reading our comments....

Cheers

Nola
